Increase In Domain Name Pricings

I just received an email from Namecheap.com about the increase in regular pricings of domains names of different Tlds, thought to let you know about this new before its too late.

Register, Transfer or Renew Your Domains Now Before the Price Goes Up

Hello Muneeb :

Because select registries are increasing the prices of domains to us, the prices of .com, .net, .org and .info domains are going up 40 cents to $9.69. This will be an industry wide change and will affect all registrars effective in October. This is an increase that is being forced upon us by the registries that handle these extensions. NameCheap does and always will try to bring you the lowest, honest and up front pricing possible. It is for this reason we want to make it clear that this was not a decision we at NameCheap took on our own.

Fortunately, NameCheap domains will still be $9.29 until September 30, so we encourage you to take advantage of this lower price for the next couple of weeks.  All domains still come with a free Comodo PositiveSSL to secure all of the information your visitors enter into your site as well as free WhoisGuard.  You can register domains at this lower cost at the NameCheap website .

NameCheap is committed to being the easiest, most affordable domain registrar to use on the web, so we are offering a special in this newsletter as well.  For the next 72 hours, we are extending our $5.99 transfer (coupon: TRANSCHEAP) and $8.41 renewal specials using coupon codes: SEPTEMBERISHERE

HAPPY RAMADAN TO EVERYONE

The wonderful month of Ramadan is here now just 2 days a head from now on here in Islamabad. We will be having our first Roza the day after tomorrow on 3rd of september Inshallah. Well it could be on 2nd september as well depends upon Moon to be seen for Ramadan.

Let me ask you something : There are couple of debates and discussions going around for Moon sighting at Ramadan, now there are few questions poping on top of my head right now those are :

  • Should we follow the moon-sighting in Saudi Arabia (or any other area of the world), or should we in our local community sight it ourselves?
  • What if our location is overcast and cloudy, and the moon is not visible to us?
  • Why do we even bother looking for the moon, when we can astronomically calculate when the new moon is born, and thus when the crescent should be visible? That eliminates human error, right?

Please let me know your thoughts on this by commenting here

Edit :  It seems like we have our first Roza is on 2nd of september :)
